Sunrise maternity session in Julian, CA

My alarm went off at 4:30AM. I packed my camera bags the night before. I made myself a fresh pot of coffee and out the door I went. It was 5:00AM when I left my house. Julian is an hour away from where I live. While driving up the mountains, I was happy to see the sun slowly rise. I was playing some Khruangbin with my hand out of the window. The crisp mountain air was incredible.

I arrived at Sacred Mountain in Julian at 6:10AM. The sun was peeking over the mountains and I soaked up the fresh morning air. My clients arrived shortly after. We started the session at the ceremony space they have on top of the hill. We then wanted to change it up a bit, so we drove down to the gorgeous open field that is located at the beginning of the venue.

After this part of the session, we decided to check out the old rustic barn. There was a house with gorgeous ivy and brick all around. There was so much to explore in this space. We stumbled upon a cute garden space with a view of the open field. My jaw dropped. It was INCREDIBLE. Here are some photos from that part of our session.

I am SO happy and grateful to have been able to photograph at Scared Mountain in Julian,CA. There was so much to work with. The space was so well manicured.
