Sunset Cliffs Couples Session

Jac & Alex

Sunset Cliffs, San Diego

March 4, 2023

I met Jac & Alex while photographing a rehearsal dinner at Stone Liberty Station. I was walking around taking photos of couples and friends. I walked up to them and asked to take their photo. They were so nice so we started chatting. After our conversation, I felt that it would not be the last time I would see them. Jac added me on instagram after I delivered the gallery to my clients. About a year later, Jac reached out to do a anniversary session!

They live out in Bakersfield and wanted to do something down by the water. I recommended my go to, Sunset Cliffs. I was a bit weary due to it being chilly, but they were down for it! We met up at the end of Ladera St. near Point Loma Nazarene University. It is a bit quieter compared to the rest of Sunset Cliffs, but during that day a small wedding ceremony was going on. I tried parking in the lot, but of course it was full. So I parked on Ladera St. Sure, it was a bit of a walk, but it paid off!

As I was walking to meet up with them, I came across this GORGEOUSSSSSSSS trail full of wild flowers! The lighting was golden and the pops of green and yellow were *chefs kiss *! I finally met up with Jac and Alex. We took a few photos on the side of the cliffs then I was dyinnggggg to go back to the trail full of flowers. There, we took some of my favorite photos from the session!

Then from here we walked to one of my favorite locations at Sunset Cliffs! This location is more low key compared to the rest of Sunset Cliffs. I feel that more locals come to this side rather than the other locations. Below are some more of my favorites from this location.

Sunset Cliffs will always hold a special place in my heart. As a San Diego native, I grew up coming to the cliffs to take a break from everyday life and enjoy the gorgeous view. I am so lucky to have clients that love the beauty of it. Looking forward to doing more shoots here in 2023!
