Hey there! My name is Nia.

Hi There!

I am a San Diego native of 29 years. I have been a Portrait photographer for 5 years. I first started my Photography Journey in 2017. I knew I always wanted to do Art as a
career, but had no clue what I was going to do. After taking a Graphic Design Class and a Drawing & Painting Class, I knew it was not for Me. I figured, that Photography was always an interest, but a bit intimidating. I signed up for a B&W Darkroom Class and a Photo Composition Class and I was hooked!

2020 happen to be the year for my business to really boom. It was a Blessing in disguise because I lost my restaurant jobs. In the moment, it was terrifying but that’s when my full focus was on photography. Since then I have Met and Photographed some RAD Clients. From Weddings, Surprise Proposals, Families, Boudoir! I do a bit of all.

I have such a Passion for Photography. I love being able to freeze a moment in time. To create something that will last forever. It is such an honor to be apart of special milestone’s in People’s lives. Can I be apart of yours?

 

Do we have anything in common? :

  1. I have a oh so cute Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Toast. He will be 9 this year.

  2. I am petite, 4'11 to be exact!

  3. I have a collection of house plants! I LOVE greenery in a living space.

  4. Sparkling water, Coffee, Beer, Wine. That is all.

  5. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 11 years. I can definitely say serving skills come in handy. Especially during a jam packed wedding day.

  6. I am half Filipina and half White.

  7. I come from a LARGE and LOUD Filipino Family. Family is everything to me!

  8. I am obsessed with old family photos. It does not matter if it is my family or yours. It is nice to look back on old memories. How life was like back then. So rad!

  9. I still shoot film photography. I have a collection of vintage cameras and shoot 35mm and Medium format.

  10. I also develop and scan my own film at my house!

  11. Some of my favorite film stocks are Kodak Portra 400, Kodak Portra 800, Kodak Tri X 400

  12. Big fan of 80’s music, 90’s hip hop, 90’s rap, Indie Rock, Reggae, Classic Rock…. honestly just a big mix.

1). My Best piece of advice, HIRE SOMEONE THAT INSPIRES YOU. You want to be able to connect with your Photographer. Why you may ask? We are there for thee most IMPORTANT and INTIMATE moments in your life. Let’s make sure we are a great fit!

2). If you consider yourself “scared of the camera” don’t be! I am a bit of a “hype women” so you won’t have a dull moment with me. I try not to direct people too much. I love in the moment photos. The images where your truly laughing, smiling and feeling beautiful! So please if you want to have a fun time during a shoot, IM YOUR GIRL!
